Billy Heroman's Flowerland

Why buy from a local plant vendor versus a "Big Box" Store?

Have you ever noticed that the plants you buy at your local "Big Box store die a couple weeks after you purchase them? When plants are shipped to large chain stores, they are treated to make the foliage green and make the plant look its best. Unfortunately, the treatments used ware off and your plant dies. How do you avoid this?

When you use a local growing vendor, like Billy Heroman's, you will find plants that last longer and look healthier. Plants that are grown in a local greenhouses and acclimated to local conditions, will grow to become mature and long lasting plants.

There is very little price difference between your local store and the large chain "box stores". Although you will see a difference of .50 - $1.50, the size difference in the plants will make up for that. Compare it for yourself. Have you ever noticed that it takes three to four of the big box plants to equal one plant at your local Billy Heroman's store.
